Scott Evan Davis (Composer/lyricist) is a three time MAC Award nominee (2014-2015) and recipient of the 2012 Broadway World award for best original song (IF WE SAY GOODBYE). After attending Emerson College in Boston as well as AMDA in New York City, Scott set his sights on becoming a composer/lyricst. Since then, he has presented concerts of his work in Boston, NYC, Alabama, NJ, LA, London, Dublin and Austraila. Scott’s debut album is called “Cautiously Optimistic”: featuring performances by Faith Prince, Liz Callaway, Jason Graae, Lisa Howard, Nikki Renee Daniels and others. Scott has been a vocal coach/musical director for the past 13 years. He has taught for TADA!, Arts Connection, and written musicals and instructed at Brooklyn Children’s Theatre for five years. He has been working with children with autism using musical theatre, and is featured in a documentary with them called Spectrum of Hope. His most recent revue, “Picture Perfect” which was nominated for a MAC award, made its London and Australian debut after a sold out run in New York and LA. Scott is currently working on his newest musical, INDIGO as well his developing a new show with Phil Geoffrey Bond. In June, the song “IF THE WORLD ONLY KNEW” which was written based on the stories and journaling of the students of P94 Spectrum school in NYC will be performed at the Gershwin theatre in NYC, along side a myriad of broadway performers as the finale for a benefit by BELIEVE NYC raising money and awareness for autism. Also, his songs ‘IAM” and “READY TO FLY” are being sold globally as show choir pieces. Scott has also been nominated for MAC awards for his song Save me The rose, as well as his song Just a Word.
