Audiences will travel east to west and south the Appalachia mountains, cross the Western Plains to California, then head down to New Orleans to learn about all the ingredients that make up a “jazz soup.” Sandii demonstrates and performs on the banjo, guitar, mandolin, harmonica, washboard, spoons, and limber jack. Paul plays bass, saxophone, flute, clarinet, and djembe,.
Their show concludes by inviting audience members to join them in the art of collective improvisation, the founding principle of jazz. Sandii and Paul will then perform a short set that includes blues to bluegrass, and folk to jazz. MUSIC AT THE CENTER is a fundraiser for The DVAC and its programs. Doors open at 6:30 pm with the concert beginning at 7:00pm. Items Not Allowed
