UPDATE: As anticipated, due to a conflicting professional sporting game, we did need to adjust times as mentioned below in the initial notice. Tickets will automatically transfer to the new show date/ time. At this point, we will only be doing ticket exchanges not refunds. Saturday January 14thCast A 12pm (previously 1/14 2pm) Cast C 4pm (previously 1/15 2pm) Cast B 8pm (previously 1/14 7pm) Sunday January 15th Cast D 7pm (stayed the same) Based loosely on Puccini's La Boheme, Rent School Edition follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side, under the shadow of disease. The physical and emotional complications of the disease pervade the lives of Roger, Mimi, Tom and Angel. Maureen deals with her chronic disloyalty through performance art, as Joanne wonders if their relationship is worth the trouble. Benny has sold out his Bohemian ideals and friendship in exchange for money. Mark, an aspiring filmmaker, feels like an outsider to life in general. How these young bohemians negotiate their dreams, love, and conflict provides the narrative to this groundbreaking musical. Rent School Edition is about falling in love, finding your voice, and living for today. The Music Academy of WNY presents their Winter 2023 musical, "RENT School Edition." Come be amazed by these performers as they sing, dance, and act in this spectacular musical! Full costuming and staging make this event a big hit! NOTE: Based on local professional sporting games (TBD 1/8) performance dates/times may be altered to adjust accordingly. In the event this happens, all shows will proceed as planned on 1/14 & 1/15, but with 3 shows on one day and 1 show on the other day. Tickets can then be exchanged for another RENT performance date/time. Items Not Allowed
