Description
Mummification is an advanced form of Bondage that involves extreme immobilization in which the submissive is wrapped or totally enclosed by the dominant, either partially or completely with some type of material. While encased (cocooned) the bottom is completely immobilized and vulnerable to the top. This can bring up feelings of helplessness and surrender. Many practitioners of this Art also incorporate sensory deprivation, depending on the intention of the scene. If you choose, Hoods, blindfolds, pillow cases, ear plugs, ear buds, music and gags are some of the many items that can be used for sensory deprivation. While bondage tape, plastic wrap, duct tape, medical bandages, vet wrap, latex, leather and fabric can be used for mummification. It depends on the sensation you desire and whether you are doing a zone, limited or full body mummification. It can be an intense & high risk activity, and requires specific safety protocols, precautions and equipment that we will explore in-depth during this 7 hour intensive! Types of Mummification: 1. ZONE MUMMIFICATION Recommend for beginners, this technique Involves mummifying specific body areas with plastic wrap. Wrap plastic around arms in front of body or place arms at sides and wrap around arms and torso shoulders to waist. Spiral wrap thighs and lower legs leaving hips and knees free for fun and safety. Most people play about 30 minutes to an hour once wrapped. Remember the longer you’re wrapped the more prone you will be to dehydration so a 2 hour hard limit is probably wise. 2. LIMITED MUMMIFICATION Recommended for intermediate players who desire a more intense immobilization. The Body is wrapped neck to feet in a continuous spiral with the material of choice. Hoods or other sensory deprivation devices can be added to either the zone or limited mummifications to increase the feelings of restriction. Leather and leather sleep sacks are easier to use but more expensive, so we will show “The Limited Budget Mummy” using bed sheets. It is easy, cheap and effective alternative with less breathing and over heating issues. 3. FULL BODY MUMMIFICATION Recommended for advanced players. The whole body technique requires breathing mechanism and usually involves a vacuum bed or fully encased fitted latex body sack with hood and breathing apparatus. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Miss Cassie has over 20 years experience mummifying people in scarves, sheets, bondage tape, vet wrap, belts and plastic wrap. Cling wrap suspension & hammock mummification are two of her favorite things! Her professional career started in 2009, performing as a rope bottom and assisting with Shibari classes. By 2011 she perfected her own, unique tying style and discovered her inner rope artist! Then by 2012 she was ready to teach and started a monthly class at Sanctuary, followed by weekly classes at The Lair de Sade until their closing in 2020.
