Description
Join us as we celebrate the joy and peace of the holiday season! We are delighted to be working again with local musician and award-winning hammered dulcimer player John Lionarons on "Star in the East," a suite of three Appalachian carols. A delightful and eclectic selection of holiday songs will round out the program. Media Chamber Chorale began in 1984 with a group of professional and dedicated amateur singers who wished to perform quality music in a chamber setting. We have performed annual winter and spring concerts since 1992, and we have been asked to sing at numerous community venues including Tyler Arboretum, Longwood Gardens, the Delaware County Summer Festival in Rose Tree Park, retirement communities, and the PA Renaissance Faire. We also perform annually at the Wallingford Community Arts Center's holiday craft fair. We sing diverse music that includes standard choral repertoire as well as spirituals, opera excerpts, show tunes, madrigals, and folk songs.
