Description

Mt Fog

A creation of love & a response to the world's absurdity, Mt Fog began in an art-filled house without an internet connection in Olympia in 2019. Mt Fog (Carolyn B.) is a singer, producer and classically-trained multi-instrumentalist who layers electronic sounds and haunting vocals to evoke magical spaces, real and imagined. She's performed alongside artists like Anika and Tim Hecker and played a KEXP studio session, hosted by DJ Cheryl Waters, in November 2022. Her sophomore album Spells of Silence was featured as a Bandcamp Daily Album of the Day and in the Seattle Times as a Washington music critics' Album of the Year. It is out on vinyl via Ghost Mountain Records. In 2023, Mt Fog debuted as a live band at a KEXP-presented show at the Tractor Tavern. The trio, consisting of Carolyn, Andy Sells (Select Level, Afrocop, FCS North) and Casey Rosebridge (Catch Rabbit, Crazy Eyes) performed at Capitol Hill Block Party and Timber! Fest this summer. Mt Fog's third album is currently in the works.

Alex Johnston:

A folktronica singer-songwriter from Everett has been on a sonic journey of self exploration since 2016. Alex Johnston began releasing music with two conceptual EPs and since has produced seven full length albums infused with an aching universal curiosity colored in impressionistic abstract relatability. Additionally he has produced three ambient collections, and a handful of one off singles. His latest work, Daylight Fooldream, involved a visual album featuring 10 music videos telling one cohesive story in three acts about two separate realities converging with the help of their imagination. Alex’s music is minimalism filled with kaleidoscopic layers and his live performances are captivating as he collides the synthesized and organic while his beautifully haunting voice pulls you into his own world and into your own heart. Don’t forget yourself.
