Description

Join the talented musicians of the Southern Illinois Concert Band as they present their musical thoughts on the eclipse due to visit our area.

Under the direction of conductor, David Wickes Jr., the program will feature selections all related to the cosmos. Highlighting the concert will be the premier of a multimedia based selection composed by Southern Illinois resident and musician Mike Thomas. Based on the thoughts of famed astronomer Carl Sagan, Mike combines a musical interpretation together with visual imagery to give voice to the famed visionary.
