The SAMAHAN Filipino American Performing Arts and Education Center (SAMAHAN Arts) celebrates its 50th Anniversary and Reunion on July 27, 2024, Saturday, 4 to 9 pm, at the Balboa Park Club, San Diego. This is a much awaited event that commemorates SAMAHAN's 50 years of promoting the Filipinos' culture through dance and music. After cocktails and dinner, specially featured will be Filipino folk dances and live music performed by the Samahan junior, teens, company dancers and alumni. Expected to attend are SAMAHAN alumni, past members, patrons and special guests who have all been involved and have contributed to the growth of the organization. Since its founding in 1974 by the late Dr. Lolita Dinoso Carter, SAMAHAN Arts has consistently endeavored to fulfill its mission of promoting and preserving the Filipinos' culture through teaching and performing Filipino folk dances and music with the support of the community, as well.
