- SAMIRA R. NOORALI began her love affair with the arts early in life. In her childhood, she
was intrigued by the notion of loss and wrote poems on subjects such as grief, healing
and the process of transition from this world to the next. While wrapping up her career as
an attorney in 2013, Noorali transformed her published poetry collection, A Simple
Rebirth, into a dramatic reading and then a theatrical production which has now toured
three cities in Texas. Her love for dialogue writing found it’s way into television script
writing when she entered and became a finalist in an ABC/Disney contest.
Noorali's most recent work is a documentary-based theatrical production (2018), "Stories:
Our American Journey,” which features her unique writing and style and her multilayered
musical sensibilities as a composer.
Noorali has studied piano, choral music, opera and Hindustani classical music. As such,
her most recent compositions (performed in the US, Europe and Canada) showcase a
cross-culture and cross-genre sound incorporating Eastern and Western elements. While
focusing on her personal projects, Noorali has also devoted much of her attention to
lecturing and facilitating workshops on music, poetry and other types of writing.
