Matte O’Brien and Matt Vinson are New York based music theatre writers whose eclectic style melds an emotional fusion of folk, rock, soul, and Broadway pop. For this special fundraiser to support Out of the Box Theatrical, Matt and Matte, along with some friends, will perform their original songs, including material from their upcoming collaborations: An epic-folk re-imagining of L.M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables and the pop-rock opera CAKE. The evening also features songs from their musical Peter & I, which previously enjoyed a sold-out Off-Broadway run at the American Theatre of Actors as part of the Araca Project.
