Learn to embroider your jeans, your knitting, and anything else you'd like to stitch on! We’ll explore crewel and sashiko styles in this workshop focused on free-form embroidery with thread and wool yarn. Sample different techniques and materials, and learn tips for planning and transferring designs. Come prepared to experiment, have fun, and begin to develop your own personal embroidery style. You’ll leave with plenty of ideas and techniques to help you add unique decorative stitching to your next project. Students should bring: Any garment or textile you would like to add embroidery to. Optional: Any yarns or threads you would like to incorporate into your stitching, and anything that inspires a design you would like to embroider: photos, materials from nature, words, etc. Supplies included. Age 16+. Minors permitted with parent or guardian. Both minor and adult must purchase tickets for and attend workshop. Additional Information
