Description
Work in the garden planting food to harvest for the community. Youth, Grades 3 to 12, are invited to participate in this fun Global Youth Service Day at Victory Garden Foundation's Peoples Victory Garden at Telegraph Center (www.TelegraphCenter.org).
There will be garden work, music, gardening lessons, a mural project for the day's activities. Youth under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. All youth must complete a registration form signed by a parent/guardian to be admitted. GYSD is celebrated each year in more than 135 countries, with young people working together--and with schools, youth organizations, nonprofits, community and faith-based organizations, national service programs, government agencies, and adult mentors-- to address the world’s most critical issues and change their communities.
