Description

The final concert of the season invites you to discover a bluegrass mass, described as a joyful affirmation of life expressed in sophisticated choral sound and jubilant bluegrass harmonies.  Composer Carol Barnett has created this enjoyable work of bluegrass music, with a church flavor. The Chorale will be accompanied by the bluegrass band The New Ky String Ticklers for the Lexington area premiere of this work. This musical treat continues through other all-Kentucky pieces including My Old Kentucky Home by Stephen Foster, and Memories by Earlene Rentz.  Join us for this special music and a reception after the concert.
