Overview

This course is intended for students who have completed Beginning I or II, or proper placement by the professor.

In this course, students will learn the following:

Grammar Focus:
Questions and Statements.
Verbs + Gerunds.
“More than,” “Less than,” “as much as.”
Present Perfect: how long, for, since.
Questions with ever, short answers.
Clauses and phrases with “because.”
Adverbs of degree: “too” and “enough.”
Present Perfect: “recently” and “lately.”
“Used to.”
Verbs + Infinitives.
“Already” and “Yet.”
Clauses with “when.”
Clauses with “before” and “after.”
“Could” and “Should.”
Gerunds after prepositions.
Present Perfect Continuous.
Separable Phrasal Verbs.
Past Continuous.
Adverb clauses with “when” and “while.”
Future Real Conditional.
Clauses with “after” and “before.”
Students will also expand their vocabulary, and utilize these grammar formats, with reading, writing, and listening exercises.
